A group of voters from Greene’s congressional district have filed a lawsuit that seeks to disqualify the representative from holding office over her alleged involvement in the Capitol riot on January 6, 2021. The suit claims Greene is an insurrectionist and under a provision in the Constitution’s 14th Amendment that was added to prevent former Confederates from seeking office after the Civil War, she is ineligible from running for office....

During a town hall in Rockmart, Georgia held on Wednesday, Greene, a fervent Trump ally, spoke against maligning the former president’s supporters in the aftermath of January 6. Green claimed—without providing evidence—that most of the rioters arrested for their role in the attack did not vote during the 2020 presidential election. “Trump supporters are not domestic terrorists,” Greene told an audience of supporters. “That’s a lie.” The congresswoman condemned the violence, insisting it “shouldn’t have happened....

In a lengthy Twitter thread, the congresswoman said she is the only sitting member of Congress and candidate without a campaign Twitter account. On her official congressional account late on Saturday, Greene said this “means I am not able to campaign or raise money for my campaign on this platform.” Her Democratic opponent, Army veteran Marcus Flowers, has been “able to raise over $15 MILLION from Democrat donors all over the country that are being lied to about his ability to win in Georgia’s beautiful deep red 14th district,” she wrote....

Quietly flying under the radar, Martellus Bennett has not participated in the team’s voluntary workouts, ESPN.com reported.
