Barber, a fourth-round pick of the Cowboys in 2005, was found dead in his apartment in Frisco, Texas, per Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Barber’s cause of death is not currently known. He was 38, nine days shy of his 39th birthday. The running back played six seasons with Dallas between 2005 and 2010 and earned a reputation for being a hard-nosed, tough-to-tackle back.
