Bennett already is in a comfortable position with the Patriots. He’s third in the league in receiving yards for a tight end and first in touchdowns. Maybe that’s why he feels comfortable opening up about his former team.

“We just had a bunch of bitches on the roster — that’s why we didn’t win games — and coaches liked the bitches,” Bennett said in a promo for an upcoming E:60 segment.

The E:60 show, which airs Wednesday, features Bennett and his brother, Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett. Both players have plenty to say, but Martellus’ comments about the Bears (and Jay Cutler) stick out.

“Some people that you want to be a leader are not the guy that’s the leader,” he said about Cutler. “And everyone in the locker room knows that this is not the leader, but this is what you want the face of the team to look like.”
