The Los Angeles Tour adds Mario in his “aloha” Hawaiian shirt and sunglasses to Mario Kart Tour, based on an aesthetic outfit choice players unlock by beating Super Mario Sunshine’s final boss, Bowser, in Corona Mountain and talking to a similarly-dressed vendor in Delfino Plaza. It also adds a new vehicle, the Surf Sailer kart, as well as a track that lets players drive around a California-themed beach and boardwalk.

Though Mario Kart Tour focuses primarily on collecting tracks from mainline Mario Kart titles, it has released numerous maps based on real-life places like Tokyo, Japan and Vancouver, Canada. The mobile game also previously helped celebrate Super Mario’s 35th anniversary by releasing the sprite versions of Mario and Donkey Kong Jr. from SNES game Super Mario Kart.

The addition of SNES characters to Mario Kart Tour was revealed during the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Direct earlier this month, but that was not the only Mario Kart-related announcement. Nintendo also revealed Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, an Augmented Reality racing game that uses RC cars based on characters like Mario and Luigi.

Mario Kart Tour is available now on Android and iOS devices.
